I had to share (I figured you guys would understand) and I have a question.
#1 - I finally won a doll I've been in love with for months. Elizabeth Cady Stanton from Gotz. She's AMAZING! Of course, I waited until her price was 2x what it was 6 months ago , but at least I got her. She's 18" and fits the AG dolls stuff, plus she's a true historical (after a real person!).
#2 - Are there any other 18" dolls that are just AMAZING like this from Gotz? I never seem to find them on ebay. Anyone else have a Gotz they're in love with? Just wondering

I have Precious Day Elizabeth-renamed Charlie and Little Sister Tess. I have some pictures of them in Travelin' Jessie and Gemma's albums in my signature. I love them and am glad I finally have Tess after wanting her for awhile.
Editing to say that I can't believe I left Emmaline out. She's a Gotz Maxy Muffin and she's the little sister to Charlie and Tess, as she has a totally different body.

Brenda, I adopted the Eliz C. Stanton doll just before Christmas! I asked the seller if there were more in that series because mine came with a tag that said she was the first in a series of historical dolls from Gotz. Like you, I totally fell in love with her on ebay and I loved her even more when I saw her in person.
Unfortunately the seller told me that Gotz -- the part of the company that made dolls in NY -- went out of business right after the Stanton doll was made. So there don't appear to be any more in her line. She has a completely unique face mold -- unlike any of the other Gotz dolls I've seen. And her hair looks very much like a blonde version of Samantha only with tiny little side curls instead of bangs. I know other people on the Board have said that Gotz has wigged dolls but this is the first one I've seen. All my other Gotz dolls have rooted hair. Congratulations on your new girl!

I LOVE Gotz dolls! I have Susanna, who is a Gotz Little Sisters Tess and yes indeed she has a wig instead of rooted hair. (that's her in my avatar isn't she cute?) Travellin' Jessie is a Gotz Precious Day. She has rooted hair which was kind of a pain to deal with because her head looked ugly when I put her hair in pigtails!

Tell me what you think of her!
I have the funny feeling there will be a new group of people looking for her now.

I have there Asian doll, Kimberly. She is so cute and looks more oriental than the American Girl Asian. I have named her Blossom. I recently swaped the Teepee for the AGT Asian doll, when it arrives I'll post photos of the two dolls together.
